Garage Sales

The community garage sales are held every year in June, usually the second weekend, all day Friday and Saturday. In past years there have been over 40 homes participating in this event. In 2010, the Knights of Columbus gathered unsold items and delivered them to the Lincoln City Mission.

Cortland Fest

An annual all day Saturday event is traditionally held the last weekend in June. Features include kids’ activities, tractor show, car show, entertainment, food, parade and raffles. You often find different events each year such as a bake sale, a farmers market/craft fair, baseball, volleyball or perhaps a theme for the day. The festivities conclude with a spectacular fireworks display, free to the public.

Spookfest

An annual Saturday evening Halloween event held every year for the kids of the community. The event features games, haunted rooms, snacks, and hay rack rides.

Christmas in the Park

Christmas 2010 was the fourth year decorating the community park trees with Christmas lights. The goal each year is to have every tree decorated by people of the community. That goal was met in 2009 with all 37 trees decorated.

Santa

This annual Saturday morning event features coloring, a play area and refreshments for the kids of the community. Of course, Santa is always there to thrill the kids with a goody bag and hear their Christmas wish lists!
